This is ktaskbar version 0.3

It is copyright by Christoph Neerfeld under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

ktaskbar is similar in functionality to xtaskbar of fvwm95.

This program works as a modul for fvwm2.

You will need libqt-1.1, libkde-0.6 and libxpm.

Features:
	- button bar with a list of windows (of course)
	- menu button with popup windows to start programs or
send commands to fvwm. (menus with icons !)
	- a small digital clock
	- a button to start netscape
	- a button to start up your network connection (ppp)
	- displays time pasted since your network is up

Bugs:
	a lot
	- sometimes seg faults Arrrgh :-(
	FIXED
	- configuration can only be saved once per program lifetime,
I think it is a problem with KConfig ( there was a patch
          postet in the mailing list)

TODO:
	even more
	- menu configuration without editing the config file
	DONE
	- more configuration and less hardcoded stuff
	DONE
	- currently supports only a resolution of 1024x768
(I just wanted to get this out, so someone can take a look at it)
DONE ( could someone try this out ?! )
	- support the directory structure of kpanel

Install:

Edit the Makefile.
make
(I have included libfvwm2.a, module.h and fvwmlib.h from the fvwm2 sources/
I hope nobody cares)
copy .ktaskbarrc and .ktaskbar_menu to your home directory
change .ktaskbarrc to fit your pixmap path (only one directory is supported)
You can do this from within the program, too.
(don't put the mini-pixmaps together with bigger pixmaps in one directory.)
copy ktaskbar to your fvwm2 module directory and start ktaskbar from fvwm2

you may include some commands into you .fvwm2rc file:
Mouse 1 2 A Maximize 0 97 // use this on 1024x768 resolutions
Mouse 3 2 A Maximize 1024P 744P // use this on 1024x768 resolutions

Configuration
=============

You can change most stuff from within the program now.
There are currently three different dialogs that you can call
from the menu 'Config':

Global:
In the 'Global' dialog you may configure
- the menu config file
- the system default config file (not used yet)
- the pixmap path
- some windowmanager options that specify whether
ktaskbar should stay on top of other windows
ktaskbar should be clicked to get the focus
  ktaskbar should be sticky
- which key to press to popup the menu
to iconify ktaskbar (if you need the hole screen)
  to deiconfiy ktaskbar
- if you want the network button
- if you want the netscape button
- if you want the clock
- the pixmap on the menu button
- the text on the menu button

Some configuration needs restarting of ktaskbar and the windowmanager.
If you press the 'restart' button this will be done automatically for you.

Taskbar:
In the 'Taskbar' dialog you may specify which pixmap to display for
which window and which windows you don't want to have a button.

Menu:
In the 'Menu' dialog you may change the menu that pops up if you
press the menu button.
(You may not change the menu that pops up if you press the network button
by this way.)

--

If you want to change the menu of the network button, you still have
to change the file .ktaskbar_menu

If you change .ktaskbar_menu stay as close as possible to the example:
no extra spaces, no empty lines, case does matter
(it's not made for human editing and it's alpha)

  Unix_Com xfmail, mini-rball.xpm, xfmail &

  Type label, pixmap, command

!! Don't forget the '&' if it is a system command, or ktaskbar will block
     until the command has finished.

Types are: Separator, Unix_com, Fvwm_com, Net_Com (use only in network menu)

  or:
	Menu 'label', 'pixmap',
	Begin_Menu
	 .
	 .
	 .
	End_Menu
